I am committed to providing nurturing and loving yoga instruction to the highest standard through a plethora of experience spanning thirty years.
Yoga for me is a way of life, a way to share and a way to serve.
Neem Karoli Baba, known to his followers as Maharajji used to say “Love everyone, feed everyone” I love this!
I hope to love everyone and to feed everyone through my teaching and am deeply grateful to all the teachers and students that I have been blessed to know along this path.
My story (in brief)
My yoga journey began back in the late eighties after spending many years backpacking around the world and seeking new experiences.
I settled in South London for several years and it was whilst there, that I started to feel a yearning for a deeper meaning to life and sought out a meditation class.
This inevitably led to a yoga class and within a year or two I headed off to the island of Ibiza to train as a Hatha yoga teacher, in the style of Sivananda. A style from which to this day, I draw from and deeply respect.
Over the following years and whilst raising a family, I attended many courses and retreats, sampling and studying various styles of yoga, from Scaravelli, Ashtanga, Yin and Vinyasa and was blessed to be taught by some of the world’s most influential and respected yoga teachers.
Looking back I guess one could say that I was hungry for yoga and subconsciously looking for a Guru (not in any religious way)
Some beloved friends then introduced me to my teacher for the last twenty five years, Clive Sheridan. I knew within the first few hours that I was hearing the truth and he has been and will always be my teacher. They say when the student is ready, the Guru appears!
Having shared this, it is also important to share that he would never want the title of “Guru” and there is nothing religious in his teaching of Advaita Vedanta, he simply embodies and transmits the teachings.
I hope in this way to transmit those same teachings to others.
In 2014 my love of dance led me to train as a Shakti Dance teacher (The yoga of dance) with Sara Olivier (Avtar Kaur) which was a wonderful experience and also introduced me to Kundalini yoga and Mantric music. This had an incredible influence on the way I now practice and teach
My personal practice follows a more Bhakti (devotional) way of being these days, which is reflected in my teaching.
As well as the asana, pranayama and meditation, mantra’s play a daily role in my life.

Due to the changing face of the world through Covid, my retreat offerings overseas have inevitably been reduced to a minimum and maybe this is not such a bad thing.
The year of lockdown has been an opportunity for us all to re-evaluate and to consider what is most important in our lives.
One of those considerations for me personally, has been the impact on our planet through world travel.
With this in mind, I have decided to continue to offer a reduced number of retreats abroad (covid permitting and following government guidelines) and also to focus closer to home.
So for the remainder of 2021 I am delighted to announce my “Wild and Free” retreat over the August bank holiday weekend in Wales. The “Icelandic Adventure” in November for those intrepid explorers and later in November a weekend retreat here on home turf at Nettlecombe Farm and finally completing the year at Nettlecombe for my “Magnify your radiance retreat” over New Year.
Whichever retreat you choose will offer a transformative and I’m sure a much needed and awaited time for yourself, whilst being in the company of precious others.
Spending time with our loved ones is of course a priority now more than ever but also taking time out for ourselves is one of the most nurturing and positive things we can do.
A retreat offers us time to reflect, whilst being looked after through the fine balance of the teachings and practice, nutritious food, the majesty of nature, fresh air, silence and stillness, as well as being in the company of your soul family.
Whether you are choosing to immerse in a weekend retreat or diving deeper into a longer, more intensive offering, I can promise you a transformative experience, a deep healing and lots of fun!

This was the first time I had attended one of Carol’s retreats in the UK, and I loved it. The blend of assanas, breathing and meditation was perfectly judged, while Carol pours herself into ensuring that the four day retreat leaves everybody feeling renewed and energised. The accommodation, food and organisation was all superb; overall this was a retreat which, for me, launched 2019 in the most positive way.
I started practicing yoga just 4 months before making my first retreat with Carol. She was completely welcoming and brought the group together, accommodating a wide range of experience. The sessions were both balanced between the various aspects of the art and adaptive to the dynamical needs of the group. (The setting was magical and the support facilities, such as the catering, were lovely.)
