Weekend Retreat

Nettlecombe Farm welcomes us back for my annual October Retreat and as this is now fully booked, I’m delighted to be able to offer a further weekend in November.

This delightful venue is nestled in the heart of the countryside surrounded by rolling green hills, which is the perfect place to enjoy the peace and tranquility of Mother Nature, whilst also enjoying our practice in the warmth of the the fully equipped yoga barn with its underfloor heating.

The Retreat

Both weekends will offer the opportunity to relax and let go through the many aspects of the practice.
The process of letting go will unfold on your own personal journey through the Early morning Sadhana, where we gather in our Sangha at Dawn and immerse in silent meditation and contemplation. This unfolds into a Pranayama and Kriya practice, which opens the body in profound ways in preperation for the Asana. We complete the morning practice by chanting mantras, whilst performing celestial communications, which will balance the magnetic frequencies of the auric field around the body.
When we open to infinity through this precious practice, the magic begins to happen!

Following a healthy, hearty brunch the rest of the day is yours to rest, walk, read or indulge in a wonderful massage offered by our fantastic therapists.

The late afternoon/evening practice will also include a Sound Immersion with the fabulous Steve and Maxine from Serenity Sound (October weekend) and an “Awakened Belly Dancing” session with the beautiful Fiona Penfold (November weekend).

A guided silent walk with also be offered on both retreats (weather permitting) and it’s advisable to bring walking boots, wellies and warm outdoor clothing for these.

Our meals are lovingly prepared and served by my Mum and her partner, adding to the friendly, family feel of the retreats offered here on the Island. All meals are vegetarian, wholesome, nutritious and delicious and where possible locally sourced produce will be used.
Special dietary requirements can be catered for as long as these are requested in advance.
A full programme of the retreats will be sent out a week or so before the retreat commences.
