Nettlecombe Farm Isle Of Wight
Nettlecombe Farm is a working farm, which has been in the same family for over a century.
Nestled in the heart of the Island, surrounded by rolling green fields and lakes and within a few minutes drive from the stunning coastline.
This award winning farm, with its luxurious holiday accommodation and fully equipped yoga barn with underfloor heating, (fabulous for those early mornings) offers the perfect space for my retreats, which is why I have been returning for many years.
Those who regularly attend my retreats here, are well aware of the welcoming, homely and friendly vibe.
The accommodation is in cosy country cottages, which offer shared rooms or single (some with en-suite) and each cottage has a sitting room, one or two bathrooms and a fully equipped kitchen. All cottages have an outside seating area.

Wellbeing Yoga Retreat
Yoga, Meditation, Breath-work, Chanting, Massage and fabulous Coastal walks, will all add to the flavour, of what promises to be, a recipe for wellness. Add a little splash of locally sourced ingredients to the kitchen, where my Mum lovingly prepares and creates a variety of culinary delights and a dash of fantastic company, with a twist of humour and love and voila! A potent cocktail of goodness!
Our weekend commences on Friday afternoon, with arrivals welcome any time after 2pm. Afternoon tea, chai and delicious homemade cakes are offered in Swallow cottage, where we gather to meet other retreaters and enjoy a welcome chat. Massages are available to assist your settling in, or maybe even have a siesta before the late afternoon practice in the barn. This will be followed by supper.
Saturday will begin with an early morning Sadhana practice, followed by delicious breakfast. Then we take time to digest and enjoy some silent time, to journal or contemplate, in the quiet surroundings, before gathering for our mid morning asana practice.
A light lunch will follow before enjoying plenty of free time to explore, have a massage, read or simply rest.
The late afternoon/early evening will see us gathering in the barn for practice before supper.
Sunday begins with early morning meditation, followed by breakfast. A guided silent coastal walk will be offered before our final asana session in the barn.
A leisurely departure, after a light lunch, will complete our retreat, with the option of booking a massage before leaving.
All meals are vegetarian and wherever possible, locally sourced ingredients are used. Special dietary requirements can be catered for, provided these are requested at the time of booking the retreat.
It is advisable to book massage treatments in advance, prior to the retreat, to avoid disappointment. The cost of a 60 minute massage is £50 and can be paid either directly to the therapist on the day or in advance when booking the retreat.
